Since its inception in 2012, NiSHA has operated in 700 square feet of rented space in the back of Offshore Animal Hospital on Crooked Lane. Our programs, staff, and animals have made the best of what we thought would be a very temporary situation. And it’s time for a home of our own.
Our $20M Beyond Rescue campaign will build Nantucket a permanent and welcoming community animal resource center.

The new 2-acre campus, to be built on donated land at 25 Airport Road, will accommodate lost and homeless animals in a safe and healthy, environment.
It will allow us to connect more displaced animals with loving homes and support pets already with families that are experiencing difficult times. The center will give us room to educate more children about kindness and care for our animal friends. It will touch the lives of thousands of our Nantucket neighbors.

Please join us in building a better future for Nantucket’s pets and their families . . . and truly saving more lives.

Naming Opportunities
A gift to NiSHA’s Beyond Rescue capital campaign will impact thousands of animals and people each year, and help create a community that cares for every animal in need. Your naming gift allows us to publicly acknowledge your generosity. You may also use a naming gift to honor a family member, beloved animal or friend.
