Join NiSHA's Pet Partner Therapy Animal teams for a fun, relaxed, and nonjudgmental way to become more confident and simply enjoy reading.

Just drop in - this program is free and open to the public.

Through October 30th, we encourage you to send us a picture of your pet getting into the Halloween spirit. 𝘈𝘓𝘓 𝘗𝘌𝘛𝘚 𝘈𝘙𝘌 𝘞𝘌𝘓𝘊𝘖𝘔𝘌! Choose one of our four entry categories and our staff will have the difficult job of choosing FOUR winners, one for each category, to be announced on October 31st. Each winner will receive a festive goodie bag along with a $50 gift card to Geronimo's and Cold Noses of Nantucket.

We'll share our favorite entries throughout the month so everyone can appreciate how cute your pets are!

11 Crooked Lane, Back Parking Lot from 1pm to 4pm

NiSHA has teamed up with two excellent veterinary technicians to offer affordable nail trims to the community. Join us from 1pm to 4pm in the back parking lot of Offshore Animal Hospital at 11 Crooked Lane. No appointment necessary—first-come, first-served.

Cats are welcome between 12:30 and 1pm and must be in carriers.

Payment is $25 (cash only).

Saturday, November 15th from 9am to 12pm

1B Freedom Square

Our friends at Nantucket Family Resource Center are hosting our Mobile Pet Food Pantry to help us ensure that none of Nantucket's pets go hungry. We'll have bags/cans of pet food as well as other useful items, including leashes, harnesses, toys, treats, and more!

EVERYTHING WILL BE FREE.

You can take what you need. No questions asked.

Join us at the Holiday Marketplace and help spread love to animals in need this season!

Giftable Goodies: Take home one of our branded, specialty camper mugs — each filled with hot cocoa mix, marshmallows, and candy cane stirrers — the perfect stocking stuffer for any animal lover. We will also have our 2026 wall calendar, as well as other treats for pets and humans.

For a donation, you can customize your own ornament to honor your pets (past or present). Write their names and hang your ornament on our shelter holiday tree, filling it with love and memories throughout the season. Every purchase and donation helps provide food, medical care, and a safe place for animals waiting for homes.
