WE’RE HIRING: PART-TIME ANIMAL CAREGIVER

Do you have experience or an interest in working with dogs — including large, strong dogs and dogs who may have behavioral challenges? NiSHA is looking for a dependable, compassionate Part-Time Animal Caregiver to join our team and help care for animals who need us.

This is a hands-on position that includes:
• Feeding, cleaning, and providing daily care for shelter animals
• Walking and working with dogs to build skills and help prepare them for successful homes
• Handling and caring for cats and other small animals
• Administering medications as directed
• Cleaning kennels, cages, and animal care areas
• Providing enrichment, exercise, attention, and affection to the animals in our care

We’re looking for someone who:
• Has a genuine interest in improving the lives of animals
• Is comfortable walking dogs outdoors in the elements
• Is dependable and works well as part of a team
• Is physically able to lift, bend, kneel, clean, and be on their feet throughout a shift
• Has a valid driver’s license
• Is available for a combination of morning and evening shifts, including weekends and holidays

Experience with positive reinforcement training and behavior techniques is a plus.

We offer competitive pay and the opportunity to do meaningful work every day on behalf of animals in need. This position will average 15–25 hours per week, with the possibility of increased hours.
